 - String of 8 consecutive 50-degree January days breaks record of 6 set in 1907, 1967.



 - String of 3 consecutive 60-degree January days ties record set in 1906, 1932.



 - The 87-degree high for 1 April was the earliest 87 on record.  The earliest 87 previously recorded
      occurred on 17 April 1896 when the high reached 88 degrees.



 - The 90-degree September highs for the 7th and 16th were the only 90-degree days of the warm season.
      September-only 90-degree days had never been recorded prior to 1998.



 - (a) The 68-degree maximum for 1 December tied the warmest December maximum on record
      last set on the 30th of the month in 1984.



 - (b) The 55-degree minimum for 4 December is the warmest December minimum on record.
      The previous December record "Max Min" was 53 set on the 12th in 1911.



 - (c) The 57-degree minimum for 5 December is the warmest December minimum on record.
      The previous December record "Max Min" was 55 set on the previous day, the 4th in 1998.



 - (d) The 70-degree maximum for 6 December is the warmest December maximum on record.
      The previous December record high temperature was set on the 1st in 1998.



 - (e) The 71-degree maximum for 7 December is the warmest December maximum on record.
      The previous December record high temperature was set on the previous day, the 6th in 1998.



 - (f) The 60-degree minimum for 7 December is the warmest December minimum on record.
      The previous December record "Max Min" was 57 set on the 4th in 1998.



 - The only recorded December cooling degree day in State College history occurred on the 7th.
